Statutes given unto us

“1  “now, Isra’el, listen to the laws and rulings I am teaching you, in order to follow them, so that you will live; then you will go in and take possession of the land that \ADONAI,\ the god of your fathers, is giving you. 2 in order to obey the \mitzvot\ of \ADONAI\ your god which I am giving you, do not add to what I am saying, and do not subtract from it.” (Deuteronomy 4:1-2 CJB)“it is to remain with him, and he is to read in it every day, as long as he lives; so that he will learn to fear \ADONAI\ his god and keep all the words of \this torah\ and these laws and obey them;” (Deuteronomy 17:19 CJB)
