The Righteous Voice

Things to tell

God had blessed the first human beings, and had said unto them to be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moved upon the earth. (Genesis 1:28)

As soon as Adam and Eve got to know good and bad, they were expelled from the Garden of Eden they had to go their own way but God kept close to them and their children. (Genesis 3:22) God blessed those who came after them, Seth, Noah and his sons, and he said to them, to be fruitful and to multiply, and fill the earth. (Genesis 9:1) They had to remember the Creator as the Great One on whose Name they had to call. And it was that Majestic God who was always going to give the right answer. Also Elijah had no doubts that his God was mightier than all other gods and if Jehovah God is truly God, He will answer. And his confidence was well rewarded. Not only did God answer, but He answered in such a dramatic way that the people could no longer question who really was God. Even the things that don’t normally burn, the stones and the dust, were consumed when God answered by fire. In an unmistakable way, the Lord responded to Elijah’s prayer.

“And you shall call on the name of your mighty one, and I, I call on the Name of יהוה  {Jehovah}. And the Elohim who answers by fire, He is Elohim.” So all the people answered and said, “The word is good.” (1Ki 18:24 The Scriptures 1998+)

Then the fire of יהוה fell and consumed the burnt offering, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. (1Ki 18:38 The Scriptures 1998+)

Though many people forgot who was their Creator God provided signs and ways of living so that people could recognise the Hand behind everything.

3  “Every moving creature that lives is food for you. I have given you all, as I gave the green plants. 4  “But do not eat flesh with its life, its blood.  5  “But only your blood for your lives I require, from the hand of every beast I require it, and from the hand of man. From the hand of every man’s brother I require the life of man. 6  “Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood is shed, for in the image of Elohim has He made man.
7  “As for you, bear fruit and increase, bring forth teemingly in the earth and increase in it.”
8  And Elohim spoke to Noaḥ and to his sons with him, saying, 9  “And I, see, I establish My covenant with you and with your seed after you, 10  and with every living creature that is with you: of the birds, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ark, every beast of the earth.
11  “And I shall establish My covenant with you, and never again is all flesh cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again is there a flood to destroy the earth.”
12  And Elohim said, “This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for all generations to come: 13  “I shall set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. 14  “And it shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud, 15  and I shall remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and never again let the waters become a flood to destroy all flesh.  (Gen 9:3-15 The Scriptures 1998+)

People should know that the Creator God was and is the Provider in all times, the Jehovah Jireh, the strongest Rock on which we can stand firm. In Him we can take refuge.

2  And he said, “יהוה {Jehovah} is my rock and my stronghold and my deliverer. 3  “My Elohim is my rock, I take refuge in Him, My shield and the horn of my deliverance, My high tower and my refuge. My Saviour, You save me from violence. 4  “I call on יהוה {Jehovah}, the One to be praised, And I am saved from my enemies.   (2Sa 22:2-4 The Scriptures 1998+)

3  “For I proclaim the Name of יהוה, Ascribe greatness to our Elohim.  4  “The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are right-ruling, An Ěl of truth and without unrighteousness, Righteous and straight is He. (Deu 32:3-4 The Scriptures 1998+  )

His Voice often went over the earth in different ways. Sometimes it even sounded as thunder. It was His tam-tam, His way of blogging to mother earth and its inhabitants. They could listen to His Speaking. Listen to His thunder, the rolling, rumbling thunder of His voice. More than once Jehovah lets loose His lightning from horizon to horizon, lighting up the earth from pole to pole. In their wake, the thunder echoes His voice, powerful and majestic. People had to notice Him who lets out all the stops, and holds nothing back. No one should have an excuse of not knowing, because Jehovah took care that nobody can mistake His Powerful Voice. His word thundering so wondrously, His mighty acts staggering our understanding. Everywhere in the world people had to know that it was the Creator God who orders the snow, ‘Blanket the earth!’ and the rain, ‘Soak the whole countryside!’  No one can escape the weather — it’s there. And no one can escape from God.

2  Listen, listen to the trembling of His voice, and the sound that comes from His mouth.  3  He lets it loose under all the heavens, and His lightning to the ends of the earth.  4  After it a voice roars. He thunders with the voice of His excellency, and He does not hold them back when His voice is heard.  5  Ěl thunders wondrously with His voice; doing great deeds, which we do not understand.  6  For He says to the snow, ‘Be on the earth,’ also to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength.  7  He seals up the hand of every man, for all men to know His work. (Job 37:2-7 The Scriptures 1998+)

In the Voice of God is all Power, to make, lift up or destroy, to make people wise or dumb, to make them mighty or poor, but it is the esteem of God, the bright Glory of the God of Israel, which had and has to be, always the highest.

“Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Yisra’ĕl, prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus said the Master יהוה to the shepherds, “Woe to the shepherds {1} of Yisra’ĕl who have been feeding themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flock? {Footnote: 1 See Jer. 10:21.) (Ezekiel 43:2 The Scriptures 1998+)

From wherever the Voice of God came, burning bushes, clouds, winds, four corners of the earth, it was the God of all things which was prepared to let Himself be heard. He was willing to give His instructions so that people had a manual for life. God choose man who were allowed to represent Him on earth and to write down His Words for following generations, so that they also could take up Gods Words and use the Writings as an instruction booklet. With the years, God gave humanity full instructions. If people would listen to those instructions and follow them up they had not to have any fear, because God would be by those who are following His Law.

25  Then he cried out to יהוה {Jehovah} and יהוה {Jehovah} showed him a tree. And when he threw it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a law and a right-ruling for them, and there He tried them.  26  And He said, “If you diligently obey the voice of יהוה  {Jehovah} your Elohim and do what is right in His eyes, and shall listen to His commands and shall guard all His laws, I shall bring on you none of the diseases I brought on the Mitsrites, for I am יהוה  {Jehovah}who heals you.” (Exodus 15:25-26 The Scriptures 1998+)

And He said, “Because I am with you. And this is to you the sign that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Mitsrayim, you are to serve Elohim on this mountain.”  (Exodus 3:12 The Scriptures 1998+)

And it came to be when Aḇram was ninety-nine years old, that יהוה  {Jehovah}  appeared to Aḇram and said to him, “I am Ěl Shaddai – walk before Me and be perfect {1}. {Footnote: 1 Messiah gives the same command in Mt. 5:48.}  (Genesis 17:1 The Scriptures 1998+)

And יהוה {Jehovah} appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the Elohim of your father Aḇraham. Do not fear, for I am with you, and shall bless you and increase your seed for My servant Aḇraham’s sake.” (Genesis 26:24 The Scriptures 1998+)

And He said, “I am the Ěl, Elohim of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Mitsrayim, for I shall make you there into a great nation. (Genesis 46:3 The Scriptures 1998+)

14  And Elohim said to Mosheh, “I am that which I am.”{1} And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Yisra’ĕl, ‘I am has sent me to you.’ ” {Footnote: 1 The Heḇrew text reads: ’eyeh ’asher ’eyeh, the word ’eyeh being derived from hayah which means to be, to exist, but the Aramaic text here in v. 14 reads: ayah ashar ayah. This is not His Name, but it is an explanation that leads up to the revelation of His Name in v. 15, namely: יהוה (Jehovah).}  15  And Elohim said further to Mosheh, “Thus you are to say to the children of Yisra’ĕl, ‘יהוה Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Aḇraham, the Elohim of Yitsḥaq, and the Elohim of Yaʽaqoḇ, has sent me to you. This is My Name forever, and this is My remembrance to all generations.’ (Exodus 3:14-15 The Scriptures 1998+)

People had to know that God is Spirit and as such God is not man. He is also a Person of Truth, one Who does not tell a lie, and not like a son of man changing His mind just like that. Does He speak and not do what He says? Does He not promise something and does it not come through?

“Elohim is Spirit, and those who worship Him need to worship in spirit and truth.”  (John 4:24 The Scriptures 1998+)

“Ěl is not a man, to lie; nor a son of man, to repent! Has He said, and would He not do it; or spoken, and would not confirm it?  (Numbers 23:19 The Scriptures 1998+)
