More about Tarshish
Beyond question, Britain is modern Tarshish.
There is not a single Bible reference but what is confirmatory of that conclusion.
Bible students have discerned such is so from a consideration of the various texts where Tarshish is spoken of (1 Kings x. 22; 2Chron. ix. 21; xx. 36, 37; Psalm xlviii. 7; lxxii. 10;Isa. ii. 16; xxiii. 1, 6, 10; Ix. 9; lxvi. 19; Jer, x. 9;Ezek. xxvii. 12, 25; xxxviii. 13; Jonah i. 3; iv. 2). In such texts, they all agree that one or other of the following are referred to: England, India, Cyprus, and Tartessus (Gibraltar); all of which appertain to Great Britain.
The fact that Tarshish is spoken of as a merchant power — “the merchants of Tarshish” (Ezek. xxxviii.13) — and that to it belong “all the young lions there-of”, places the interpretation beyond cavil or doubt.
“Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish; with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take the spoil? hast thou assembled thy company to take the prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take great spoil?” (Eze 38:13 ERV)

As mentioned in the earlier post:
Not all Bible students, Bible Researchers and Christadelphians do agree with the 19th/20th vision of Great-Britain being the Tarshish of the West. We want to let our readers know those matters are just opinions and never have to be considered as prophetic visions or essential parts of the faith.
