Words God speaks unto all and the Spirit that quickens

“(5:19) These words did the Lord speak unto all your assembly on the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice, but he did so no more; and he wrote them on two tables of stone, and he gave them unto me.” (Deuteronomy 5:22 Leeser)

“8 And thou shalt write upon the statues all the words of this law, very plainly. 9 And Moses with the priests, the Levites, spoke unto all Israel, saying, Be attentive, and hearken, O Israel! this day art thou become a people unto the Lord thy God. 10 Thou shalt therefore hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.” (Deuteronomy 27:8-10 Leeser)

“2 The Spirit of the Lord spoke through me, and his word was upon my tongue. 3 [Thus] said the God of Israel, concerning me spoke the Rock of Israel, That [I should be] ruler over men, be righteous, ruling in the fear of God; 4 And as in the light of morning the sun riseth, in a morning without clouds, with more than the brightness [reflected] by rain on the herbs that spring from the earth.” (2 Samuel 23:2-4 Leeser)

“19  so we have the prophetic word more firm; to which you do well to take heed, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, till the day dawn, and the morning star arise in your hearts. 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy brought by the will of man; 21 but the holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit.” (2 Peter 1:19-21 LO)

“Now, all these things happened to them as types; and are written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages are come.” (1 Corinthians 10:11 LO)

“This testimony is true; for which cause rebuke them sharply, that they may be healthy in the faith — ” (Titus 1:13 LO)

“Besides, have you forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you as with children, “My son, do not think lightly of the Lord’s chastisement, neither faint when you are rebuked by him:” (Hebrews 12:5 LO)

“(Then his disciples remembered these words of the scripture, “My zeal for thy house consumes me.”)” (John 2:17 LO)

“23 Jesus answering, said to him, If a man love me, he will observe my word; and my Father will love him; and we will come to him, and dwell with him. 24 He who loves me not, disregards my words; yet the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father’s, who sent me. 25  I tell you these things, while I remain with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I have told you. 27 Peace I leave you; my peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Be not disheartened; be not intimidated. 28 ¶ You have heard me say, I go away, and will return to you. If you loved me, you would rejoice that I go to the Father; because my Father is greater than I. 29 This I tell you now, before it happens, that when it happens, you may believe. 30 I shall not, henceforth, have much conversation with you; for the prince of the world is coming, though he will find nothing in me; 31 but this must be that the world may know that I love the Father, and do whatsoever he commands me. Arise, let us go hence.” (John 14:23-31 LO)

“10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words which I speak to you proceed not form myself: as to the works, it is the Father dwelling in me who does them. 11 Believe me, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; if not on my testimony, be convinced by the works themselves. 12  Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes on me, shall himself do such works as I do; nay, even greater than these shall he do; because I go to my Father, 13 and will do whatsoever you shall ask in my name. That the Father may be glorified in the Son, 14 whatsoever you shall ask in my name, I will do. 15  If you love me, keep my commandments; 16 and I will entreat the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to continue with you forever; 17 even the Spirit of Truth, whom the world can not receive, because it neither sees him, nor knows him; but you shall know him, because he will abide with you, and be in you. 18  I will not leave you forlorn; I will return to you.” (John 14:10-18 LO)

“10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the complete armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the crafty ways of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but with governments, with powers, with the rulers of this darkness: with spiritual wickedness in the heavenly regions. 13 For this reason, take up the complete armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having fully wrought everything, to stand. 14 Stand, then, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 and having your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. 16 Over all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” (Ephesians 6:10-17 LO)
