One of the most important Truths

Biblical or human truth

People have to choose for which Truth they will want to go. Are they willing to clinch to Biblical Truth, gospel Truth or to what churches are presenting as a doctrinal truth?

When looking at the present world, we can find lots of people who prefer to believe in not much and to doubt everything they hear, not really willing to examine all that is said in this world. The world also should know that the majority of people who call themselves Christian do not really want to go for the biblical Truth, but prefer to go by the so-called truth the churches are offering them. Normally one would think Christians would follow the Biblical Truth and would accept words from Jesus and from God to be accepted as truth. But we can see that lots of people, calling themselves Christian do not accept the words of God, when He calls the man standing in the river Jordan His beloved son.

“21  Now it came to pass, as all the people were baptized, and that Jesus was baptized and did pray, that the heaven was opened: 22 And the holy Ghost came down in a bodily shape like a dove, upon him, and there was a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son: in thee I am well pleased.” (Lu 3:21-22 GenevaBible)

“ And lo, a voice came from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Mt 3:17 GenevaBible)

Even when God repeated that, they still do not want to accept Jesus as being the son of God, though the God Who does not tell lies declared clearly:

“ And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is that my beloved Son, hear him.” (Lu 9:35 GenevaBible)

“While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud shadowed them: and behold, there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is that my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased: hear him.” (Mt 17:5 GenevaBible)

You also would think they would believe that sent one from God, who they say they would be following. But also there they do not seem to accept the truth that Jesus is lower than God, or that God is greater than Jesus.

“ Then answered Jesus, and said unto them, Verily, verily I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, save that he seeth the Father do: for whatsoever things he doth, the same things doeth the Son in like manner.” (Joh 5:19 GenevaBible)

“ Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and will come unto you. If ye loved me, ye would verily rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for the Father is greater than I.” (Joh 14:28 GenevaBible)

“ For he received of God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a voice to him from that excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (2Pe 1:17 GenevaBible)

For lots of people who call themselves Christian it is not a matter of Biblical Truth, but of falling in the mainstream and to belonging to the majority. And that majority says that Jesus is “god the son” or “godson” (something totally different from him being the son of God). Them saying Jesus is God forget that Jesus himself said he was the sent one from God, who could not do anything without his heavenly Father, the Only One True God Who is One, and Who is greater than him. They forget by not honouring the son for who he is and for what he has done, they do not honour the Father Who has sent Jesus Christ.

The Truth about One God

The most important truth a Christian has to believe is that God is One God Who is Only One and not two or three.

Human beings started putting faith in themselves and wanted to create gods which suited themselves. Instead of going for the unseen God, Who created everything, they wanted to see a god everyone could see and touch and of whom they could make statues or sculptures so that they could bow down in front of them.

Many who call themselves Christian now that we originate with God, but they are caught by the lies of the whole world, which is lying in the power of the wicked one.

“19 We know that we are of God, and this whole world lieth in wickedness. 20 But we know that the Son of God is come, and hath gave us a mind to know him, which is true: and we are in him that is true, that is, in that his Son Jesus Christ: this same is that very God, and that eternal life. 21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols, Amen.” (1Jo 5:19-21 GenevaBible)

We should know it is the truth that it was not God Who came to the earth, but that it was the son of God who has come and who shall come again in the future. The other truth is also that this son came to tell about his heavenly Father, the God of Israel and His Plan. It was in that man of flesh and blood that God was pleased.

“ Then there was a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Mr 1:11 GenevaBible)

To prove that he was a man of flesh and blood Jesus showed his wounds to convince his disciples that he was not a ghost or spirit like his heavenly Father is.

“26  And eight days after, again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Then came Jesus, when the doors were shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. 27 After said he to Thomas, Put thy finger here, and see mine hands, and put forth thine hand, and put it into my side, and be not faithless, but faithful. 28 Then Thomas answered, and said unto him, Thou art my Lord, and my God. 29 Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou believest: blessed are they that have not seen, and have believed.” (Joh 20:26-29 GenevaBible)

“ God is a Spirit, and they that worship him, must worship him in Spirit and Truth.” (Joh 4:24 GenevaBible)

There we have that truth again, being an act of seriously and genuinely worshipping that God of Jesus Who can not be seen by man.

“ Furthermore he said, Thou canst not see my face, for there shall no man see me, and live.” (Ex 33:20 GenevaBible)

“ After I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.” (Ex 33:23 GenevaBible)

Yes, the truth is that God cannot be seen, Him being a Spirit. Jesus on the other hand was seen by many. Several people could do something against Jesus, but man can do nothing against God. God is also an eternal being, meaning that He has no beginning (no birth) and no end (not able to die). Jesus really was born and really died.

Many do not want to believe in an “Invisible God“, but it is up to each of us to come to that faith in This Invisible God.

Seeking the things from above

There is the “truth of the world” next to the “truth of above”, and that is the real truth we should look for.

“1  If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth at the right hand of God. 2 Set your affections on things which are above, and not on things which are on the earth.” (Col 3:1-2 GenevaBible)

As you can read is Jesus already in heaven, not sitting on the throne of God, but next to God, at His right Hand. Though when seated there it still shall not be up to Jesus to decide who can come to sit next to him, because it is only to God to decide as such.

“ And he said unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and shall be baptized with the baptism, that I am baptized with, but to sit at my right hand, and at my left hand, is not mine to give: but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.” (Mt 20:23 GenevaBible)

“ But he being full of the holy Ghost, looked steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God,” (Ac 7:55 GenevaBible)

“ But this man after he had offered one sacrifice for sins, sitteth forever at the right hand of God,” (Heb 10:12 GenevaBible)

Truth and doctrine

The word “Truth” is used in various senses in Scripture. In Prov. 12:17, 19, it denotes that which is opposed to falsehood and that is the way we should look at the Truth, examining if what we hear is either false or could be true. In Isa. 59:14, 15, Jer. 7:28, “Truth” means fidelity or truthfulness. and when we look at the things presented in the Bible and the matters how they happened in the world, we can check if the divine Maker was keeping His Word and as such if promises became a reality or became true.

People also talk a lot about “the doctrine of Christ” which they call “the truth of the gospel” (Gal. 2:5), “the truth” (2 Tim. 3:7; 4:4). The man being called “the Christ” also says of himself,

“I am the way, and the truth” (John 14:6).

People have the choice to accept this as something which is true or which is just a saying of someone, who lived centuries ago.

Here we can come to take the most common term for truth in the OT which is Heb. ʾĕmeṯ (emeth) meaning a reality which is “firm” or “certain.” It is namely a firm fact that Jesus was born and appointed by God to be His representative. On several occasions Jesus told the surrounding people that he was the sent one from God and that he’s representing God on this earth, to show the world which way to go. But he also knew for many this would not be easy to follow him or to find the way to God.

Today, it seems even more difficult for people to choose the right way, because there are so many religions and religious groups that claim to have the truth. You would expect people than doing some research before they become a member of a church, but most often they are born in a family with a certain faith and stay in that religious group, without seriously questioning the faith of that group.

Jesus asks people not only to believe him but also the heavenly Father Who had sent him and had spoken about him for centuries, the prophets showing the way to that Messiah. Jesus even went so far to say to Thomas who did not want to believe that his master was back, that no one would come unto the Father, but by him.

“Jesus said to Thomas: “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one can approach the Father, if not through me.” (Joh 14:6 mhm)

It is a reality or truth that the saying of God in the Garden of Eden, His Word, became a reality by becoming into the flesh. Jesus dwelt among those who could see and hear him. His disciples came to know and understand him slowly. They also beheld his glory, glory as of the only-begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. It is up to people to believe in him or not to believe in him and to believe in the True One Jesus was speaking about.

“Jesus said to Martha: “I am the Resurrection and the Life. The person who continues to believe in me, though dying, will live.” (Joh 11:25 mhm)

“But we know that the Son of The God has come, and he has given to us comprehension so that we know the True One, in His Son Jesus Christ. This true One is the true God and life everlasting.” (1Jo 5:20 mhm)

The apostles, after they received the Spirit or Power of God, received a clear vision and came to see and understand the full truth.

“We are writing these things so that our joy may be completely fulfilled.” (1Jo 1:4 mhm)

“It is by Jesus also we now enjoy an approach to God through His unmerited favor in which we now stand. Also, we may boast in the hope of God’s glory.” (Ro 5:2 mhm)

“which he originated in our behalf in a living and fleshly-slaughtered manner by means of the curtain that is, his flesh –” (Heb 10:20 mhm)

Though lots of people calling themselves Christian, not wanting to believe this, and taking Jesus as their god instead of seeing him as the son of God. Though the word Emeth contains the idea of solidity, validity, faithfulness, and steadfastness. When referring to Jesus being the truth it indicates he is telling no lies and that his individual’s speech, action, or thought, truth denotes a quality of integrity in line with what is “true.”

People should know that “Truth” proceeds from the nature of God, as seen in the words of the prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Zecharia, a.o. Jesus.

God desires “truth in the inward being” (Ps. 51:6[MT 8]). One who speaks “truth from the heart” has the moral qualification for a cultic position in the congregation; he has a mind fixed on truth, “walking blamelessly” and “doing what is right” (Ps. 15:2). From the gospels, we can learn that Jesus always tried to do God’s Will and to walk blamelessly doing good to others, even when they were against him.

The Bible presents the facts of humankind in a shortened version. The Book of books, the Bible, does not pretend to give detailed historiography or scientific explanations, but wishes to give the simplest possible outline so that people can easily come to understand how everything works.

It is because man preferring to listen to philosophical treatises or discourses and taking them as truth, having more faith in human teachings than in Biblical teachings, that they became blind to the real truth. As such we can also see that:

It’s completely possible not to see the obvious truth – while you just register it, you don’t make the connection with its meaning. {To be blind [own perception]}

Deep inside

From the onset of this world, deep down inside each human being, there is a feeling of how things have to be. After Adam and Eve got to know good and evil, this became knowledge to all their offspring. As descendants, we too have an instinct and as such a feeling of what can be true or be untrue. That earning for knowledge for truth makes us wonder and question. This also makes that so many hearts yearn so much for warmth in love and inner calm, searching for The One to Whom they can surrender and become peacefully satisfied.

People should come to see and understand that truth shall be spreading more and more. No stopping it, the peace will come. All shall have to learn it is a Truth that we all need the Divine Creator and Only One God.
